Our Hotel

Colonia Santa Maria, overlooking the Arabian sea and offering traditional Goan hospitality, attracts tourists from all parts of the world. Our airconditioned complex of villas is built in Portuguese-Goan style and provides up to 100 suites, all well-equipped and comfortable.

Pool and grounds
We are located right on Baga Beach so that sand and sea are within easy reach. But we also have a crystal clear swimming pool that includes an area for children. There is a sun terrace with loungers and, facing the sea, a large green lawn where you can relax during the day or, in the evenings, enjoy a barbecue service. For energetic visitors there is a football pitch within the grounds, many watersports facilities nearby — and we can arrange a round of golf for you at a prestigious club. Neighbouring entertainment includes the popular Tito's nightclub - just a short stroll away - and at the weekends Baga's "Saturday Night Bazaar" offers bargains galore.

Our bar has an extensive list of beverages and our restaurant offers a wide range of cuisines, including Goan specialities. Or you can sample the many restaurants and beach bars nearby. We can cater for special events, such as weddings or business promotions, and will be pleased to discuss your requirements with you.

Our new conference hall provides all you need for a successful business, marketing or promotional meeting. We have a broadband internet facilitiy and can arrange other support for your business needs, on request.

Wellbeing
India is renowned for its Ayurveda traditional healing system,with its holistic therapeutic approach to restoring a balance within the body. Its techniques for detoxification and removing stress are highly regarded and we are pleased to offer our guests a treatment room where they can receive ayurvedic massage and related therapies from experienced practitioners.

Open all year
We are open 365 days a year. The main season is October to April. Christmas and New Year are particularly popular, especially as the Goans - many of whom are Roman Catholics - like to celebrate these holidays in spectacular style and welcome visitors' participation. Our Restaurants

The Balcao ("The Balcony") is our inhouse bar and restaurant, located on the terrace overlooking the hotel swimming pool. Its walls are enlivened with artwork from leading Goan artist Dominic Cordo whose gallery is within walking distance of the hotel.

We are fortunate in Goa to have a bountiful supply of high quality fresh food. The sea yields some of the finest fish, prawns and lobsters you will ever taste. And local farms grow a wide range of vegetables, salads, fruit, herbs and seasonings. It means that our chefs have the best possible ingredients with which to prepare meals - from simple snacks to banquets when required.

We provide you with a range of cuisines to choose from on our regular menu. Seafood is a special feature of course, but we also offer steaks and other mainstays of European cuisine. There are also North Indian tandoori specialities. And of course those special dishes for which Goa is renowned.

There is live music entertainment on some days - and our restaurant staff also produce the evening barbecues in our grounds that are so popular with our guests.

Our Suites

Colonia Santa Maria has 100 guest suites, each providing a sitting room, a bedroom with ensuite bathroom, and a small balcony. The bedrooms are double or twin-bedded.

Every suite is air-conditioned and contains a safety deposit box, a minibar and tea and coffee-making facilities. Guest supplies include a range of toiletries - and our inhouse laundry can take care of your clothes.

Room service is just a phone call away - and you can also make local and international calls directly from your suite. We provide broadband internet access in our conference hall and at reception.
